"The VSA programme is designed to assist you to maximise your potential, in sport , education and in life!

...this is one of the best Foundation level sports education courses in New Zealand...."
Michael Jones

The Village Sports Academy, initiated by Michael Jones and fellow trustees of the Village Community Services Trust, is part of a wider education initiative with a new partnership formed in 2014 with Unitec Institute of Techology, one of the largest tertiary institutes of technology in New Zealand with over 23,000 students, and supported by the Tindall Foundation. The Village Sports Academy provides foundation-level education and training (Level 2-4) within the Auckland region. Based in West and Central Auckland, the Academy aims to transition students with low or nil qualifications into employment or further vocational or tertiary training. The programme combines practical sports skills and training with an academic component (certificate level) with a specific focus on life skills, leadership and aspiration building. The objective of the academy is ultimately to maximise the academic, sporting and life potential of every student on the programme.
